Kracker's Sexual Assault[edit]

I added the following information regarding Kracker's sexual assault:

Shafer was released on $75,000 bond following his arrest on a second-degree forcible sex offense charge.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] Shafer pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to a year of probation.[9][10][11][12][13][14]

Why has the section on his death been removed?[edit]

There is a developing story surrounding Uncle Krakker's death that has been pulled from the page. CNN has yet to confirm or deny the story and until then I think the page should at least contain a section on his alleged death in Topeka, Kansas. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.37.241.210 (talk) 00:48, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe because he isn't dead yet? AwkwrdPrtMskrt (talk) 10:06, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Charges were dropped?[edit]

Please cite with sources, this does not seem readily verifiable and "answer.com" is not a valid sourcing for this information.

As per the Biography guidelines this was removed until sourced. Biographies cannot be rewritten by Wikipedia, please cite this before re-adding: "After new evidence appeared showing Shafer was at no fault, the case was thrown out and all charges were dropped. The town of Cary has yet to offer an official apology to Shafer."

=It seems as though the arrest and charges are still significant enough an event in his life to mention. Here's USA Today about the arrest, though I'm having trouble fining a source that gives the disposition of the case. http://www.usatoday.com/life/music/2007-08-17-48730345_x.htm 108.16.147.149 (talk) 18:23, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

==In fact, here's a story from nj.com that says the charges were NOT dropped, but rather that he plead to lesser charges. http://www.nj.com/entertainment/celebrities/index.ssf/2007/10/uncle_kracker_in_court.html 108.16.147.149 (talk) 18:25, 3 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Date of birth ?[edit]

June_6th says he was born on the 6th June, and was also just announced on BBC 6 Music.. ? Also, the song "follow me", a number one hit of uncle cracker, is about his heroin addiction. listen closely.

Now that you've put that idea in my head, when you listen to the lyrics it makes sense. I never knew he had a Heroin addiction though, looks like I learnt something new today loll --JJMan 16:13, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is a lie, the song is about an old love life of his. You should really study before assuming things about Matt. --ZING 20:40, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

I've known Matt a long time and his date of birth is definitely June 6, 1974, please review your facts! And he NEVER was addicted to heroin, although the lyrics may point in that direction about a friend who was but I can assure you that he was never a heroin addict. Most importantly NEVER believe what you read! That sexual assault BS is the biggest load of crap EVER! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.254.246.218 (talk) 21:30, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uncle Kracker discography[edit]

Support split - Discography section takes up more than one quarter of the page, and should be split to a new article entitled Uncle Kracker discography. --Jax 0677 (talk) 16:43, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
