Seems petty... but "Internet" is a little old-fashioned[edit]

@Dimadick: I tried and failed to find specific Wikipedia policy regarding the capitalisation of "internet". However, in the article it is being used as an adjective: in this form it is often left uncapitalised. Besides, in non-American forms of English, "internet" is rarely considered a proper noun anyway. Because the main article Internet defines it as a proper name and consistently capitalizes it, alongside ARPANET, CYCLADES, the Merit Network, the NPL network, the Tymnet, and Telenet. It is quite standard for network names. Dimadick (talk) 16:47, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't really matter, as in the phrase "internet forum", "internet" is acting as an adjective rather than a noun. However, the article on Internet forums seems to prefer the capitalised version as well. Still seems a little old-fashioned, but hey. Quasar G ^{t - c} 17:14, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Celebrities" section[edit]

I've removed it, since it only referenced Buzz Nigeria, which seems to be some sort of celebrity gossip magazine and likely not a reliable source. Several of the people listed were living people, as well. I wouldn't necessarily be opposed if someone added a well-sourced analysis of the implications of lookism in celebrity culture, but in its recently reverted form it seems like nothing more than listcruft. --SamX 22:53, 6 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
