im german, this word was never in use. Maybe you mean smth like "Volksassimilation", i heard this, but not "Umvolkung" ...

I find this article very strange specifically because of all the embraced german words, which are held like very specific ownstanding german terms though, mostly, they are just generic words like:
"Lebensraum" -> "habitat"
"Verhalten" -> "behaviour"
"Überfremdung" -> "foreign infiltration"
Even "Ostforschung", though a name, means nothing more than "Research of the East", which is at least mentioned on the linked page.
There is nothing more to these terms. But there seems to be this certain habit in english space to use german words directly where-ever this can underline prejudices.

No, as far as I know it was not Albert Brackmann, but Karl Christian von Loesch who coined the term Umvolkung. He wrote about it in "Eingedeutschte, Entdeutschte und Renegaten" in "Bücher des Deutschtums : für den Deutschen Schutzbund. Bd. 1, Volk und Vőlkern, p. 213-243, Verlag Ferdinand Hirt, Breslau, 1925" Edmond V.O. Katusz (talk) 23:34, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
