COI[edit]

Significant portions of this article were created by Bretarae (talk · contribs) who has an undisclosed conflict of interest, as she is the marketing manager for UberEverything. --Yamla (talk) 14:42, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This article resembles very little what it is like to be an UberEATS driver, at least in Seattle. There is no set menu. Here you may order anything on the menu from a participating restaurant from which here are many, for one.chevyorange 14:47, 14 February 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chevyorange (talkcontribs)

Edit Request[edit]

Hi all - Ben here from the UberEATS team requesting a couple edits to this page:

1) Update the logo to its current version, seen here: https://uber.box.com/s/8jd6nfgb2swm25z1a72gk65ff4hgp112

2) Correct inaccuracy: "The service also features two to four “signature dishes” on a rotating, daily basis.[12]" - the Instant Delivery option on UberEATS was removed in October 2016. Source: http://www.sfchronicle.com/business/article/Uber-kills-ultrafast-Instant-option-for-9643207.php

Thanks, Ben

Thank you for disclosing your conflict of interest. That's sincerely appreciated. I made your second edit. As to the first, my concern here is that the existing logo was freely licensed by UberEats. Under what license is the new logo released? Ideally, it, too, would be released under CC Attribution Share Alike 4.0 International or other similar open license. Looking at the new logo, it actually looks to me like it'd be public domain because there's no threshold of originality (it's just text), but I'm not an expert on copyright thresholds. --Yamla (talk) 16:03, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Available locations[edit]

I suggest we remove the entire section, Available locations, from the article. This information is readily available on their website and doesn't significantly add to the article. It's accounting for roughly 40% of the vertical space of the article itself, minus references. It's also necessary to frequently update it, the information is almost never totally accurate, and the only source of the information is a primary source. However, I don't wish to make such a radical change without giving the option for people to argue against it, so here we are! --Yamla (talk) 14:00, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

No objections, so I removed the section. If you believe the location section should be replaced, you are welcome to do so after (but only after) achieving consensus here. --Yamla (talk)

Change/ Move Page Lede to Uber Eats[edit]

Since UberEATS is now officially spelt as Uber Eats since December 10th, 2017, can we also have the page name changed/ moved as well to reflect the above? You may refer to www.ubereats.com . Thanks!

Templated as COI and POV[edit]

The article was created by an editor banned for advertising and self-promotion. Many swaths of the original article exist untouched, some of which have no business being in an encyclopedia article. Half the refs are to the company website or basically (unsolicited) press releases (see if you can find the affiliate link in this source - archive.is). There is no mention whatsoever of criticism of the service, e.g. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]... DaßWölf 18:28, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've done some editing to the article in order to make it sound less like an advertisement and more neutral, which should be a good start to rid the article of it's COI and NPOV issues. However, the article still needs to be expanded and should include a "criticism" section. Retroity (talk) 03:52, 8 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Delivered to wrong address again!!!![edit]

You are confused. This is an encyclopedia, not Uber Eats customer service. --Yamla (talk) 09:28, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
