Response to article deletion recommendation[edit]

The deletion recommendation justified the deletion based on the lack of a DANFS history for the ship. Much DANFS research is known to have been of low quality and is awaiting update, and lack of a DANFS entry is not a justification for deletion of any article, some U.S. Navy ships do not have DANFS entries. The deletion receommendation requested sourcing; the article already is sourced, with NavSource Online (lnked at bottom) providing the information that the boat or ship received a section patrol number but that no records have been found for her. (Scroll down to "SP-352 - USS Reliable" at the link,) I take the "original research" point, and have deleted anything not derived virtually by direct quotation from the NavSource Online source, although the information deleted was accurate and did not go beyond the information provided at the beginning of the NavSource Online source (linked in article). This reduced article should be left intact, and already is labelled as a stub. Mdnavman (talk) 18:06, 31 October 2010 (UTC)mdnavman[reply]
