Untitled[edit]

I have no book and I have no idea who posted the statement that Jack Oliphant led the Arizona Patriots but they are probably correct. The HQ was Jacks Ranch in Kingman and all the years I know Jack, I never seen him involved in anything he was not in charge of. Jack would use any extreme group left or right if it served his purpose. Jack would have allowed Ty to appear as the leader. That could explain the confusion. Jack also went to prison and later died there.Scottprovost (talk) 07:30, 17 August 2019 (UTC) I suspect that this edit by an IP address might be by User:Alvin easter, who has been told on his talk page that Wikipedia is not a vehicle for him to promote his book. --ForDorothy 23:59, 3 October 2006 (UTC) Ty Hardin never led the Arizona Patriots. Jack M Oliphant led the patriots and Ty Hardin simply funded the group. To replace the funding it stoped receiving from Ty Hardin Jack M Oliphant planned a robery that he later went to prison for. 71.113.227.225 10:28, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

--That Oliphant was involved with the Arizona Patriots is well-documented in newspaper articles. He did go to prison but he did not die there. He was in prison in the 80s, but died in 1995. The wikipedia article at one point seems to conflate the Arizona Patriots with The Covenant, Sword and Arm of the Lord (CSA), a similar but separate group that existed at the same time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1702:16A1:3600:C1AC:5789:2935:E944 (talk) 16:54, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Racism and anti-semitism[edit]

How come there is no mention of Hardin's involvement with far right politics, which destroyed his career? (92.11.202.237 (talk) 13:30, 5 April 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Do you have a reference from a reliable source for this? Bahooka (talk) 23:32, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's mentioned on Hardin's own website. Although I'm not sure if it was his activism that ruined his career, or whether his acting career was already over. (92.11.204.196 (talk) 16:17, 6 April 2014 (UTC))[reply]
It states no such thing on his website. Please see WP:BLP and WP:NPOV. Bahooka (talk) 15:02, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Google is your friend. He was involved with the Arizona Patriots militia group. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.56.23.78 (talk) 01:38, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also take a look at his "special message" from his official webpage. It's pretty sad. He's still way out there politically. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.56.23.78 (talk) 01:54, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hardin was actively involved with right-wing and anti-semitic political groups in the 1970s and 1980s. (2.103.233.183 (talk) 23:47, 25 October 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Material from his website[edit]

Is there any way we can trim down the quoted text in the Personal life section a little? This is an encyclopedia that aims to write about subjects in our own words, and I feel that too much copy-pasting is being used here. Thoughts? OscarL 11:50, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Holocaust denial[edit]

Why is there no mention of this? (2A00:23C4:6384:600:9CCE:9AEA:2A91:1C09 (talk) 20:27, 19 August 2017 (UTC))[reply]

Marriages[edit]

Eight marriages, but only two wives listed. The others must be documented somewhere. Valetude (talk) 23:23, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
