Fair use rationale for Image:Tripsichord1.jpg[edit]

Image:Tripsichord1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Article title[edit]

The capitalization in the page title is different than that in the article. I would fix it, but I can't figure out how to edit that... PFrisbie (talk) 21:19, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright[edit]

The section headed as 'History' contained a straightforward copy and paste lift from Allmusic. The section started as "The Tripsichord Music Box was one of the many San Francisco bands managed and produced by self-styled psychedelic svengali Matthew Katz..." Although it was at least referenced to that source, such a practice is violation of copyright. Please see Wikipedia:Copyright violations. Any such section for the Wikipedia article must be entirely and originally written, so as not to potentially violate anyone's copyright. Thanks,

Frank Straight[edit]

I'm not comfortable with editing the article and the article is about Tripsicord not specifically my uncle so I'm posting this here. I wanted to provide this information for those that might be interested. I'm Frank Straight's nephew. Recently (in September of 2011) I have visited Frank in Lancaster, CA. He still plays and his band is called "Sombrero Jack." I'm in contact with Frank (I have his phone number) and have set up a Facebook and webpage for Frank. His website is www.frankstraight.com Feel free to contact me with questions at silver_mica@yahoo.com David Straight (talk) 05:46, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is Frank's nephew again, David Alexander Straight. I just got off the phone with Frank and Frank tells me that Randy Guzman (drummer) has died (a few years ago at the time of this writing, 2017). Randy basically died of an aneurysm. I'll try to get more detail about this the next time I speak to Frank.
