Removed redirect[edit]

I don't know why this article was ever redirecting to Powerball, since that game is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and not Tri-State Lottery. To redirect to the Powerball article is a form of misinformation since it leads to the belief that Powerball is a Tri-State Lottery game, or that Tri-State Lottery is another name for the Multi-State Lottery Commission. While the previous content of the article was not very good, it still contained more information and was more accurate than the redirect. I have edited the content, and added a fact that asserts its notability I think (since it was the first multi-state lottery system, with the first multi-state game). However, the article is still a stub. Since there isn't a web site for Tri-State Lottery, I provided a link to the lottery web site of each of its member states. All three lotteries take part in Powerball, which should be mentioned in the article, providing that it is made clear that MUSL runs the game, and that the Tri-State Lottery is separate from MUSL. When Hot Lotto, MUSL's mini-Powerball, began in 2002, only New Hampshire of the three states was part of MUSL (Maine had offered the long-gone Lotto*America game, but dropped out of MUSL in 1992 when Powerball began.) New Hampshire might have thought the other two states would eventually join Powerball (they have) AND that TSM, currently a 6/42 game, would be replaced by Hot Lotto (which has grown to 12 states and Washington, D.C., and now has its own multiplier), but still is played in only one of the five New England states within MUSL. 216.179.123.109 (talk) 17:36, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed redirect again[edit]

Seriously, this is the third time I've removed the redirect to Powerball. Let me be clear, THIS IS NOT RELATED TO POWERBALL. All three states play Powerball, however Tri-State Lottery is a separate entity from the Multi-State Lottery Association. You wouldn't redirect the Apple Inc. article to Microsoft because they both sell computer software, so why would you redirect this to Powerball? For some reason, I feel that whoever is responsible is uneducated to the matter (meaning they shouldn't edit the article), and probably hasn't taken a look at this talk page. Please stop redirecting this page, Tri-State lottery was the first multi-state lottery in the US, so it is notable, and should never be redirected to another article, EVER!
