Will be expanding when I find the time. There's material on the scientific feasibility of such an endeavour, basic background information on the planet's composition, historical records on deep drilling attempts (we need to cover how far down humans have gone), a lot more to say about works of fiction on the matter, in particular those from the late 19th/early 20th century, when the idea seems to have been in fashion... is there any data or fiction on the travel to the core of other planetary bodies? Mind, "when I find the time" could well be in 2008 -- if you want to add something, go ahead and do it. --Kizor 07:59, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

???[edit]

"No scientist has seriously entertained the idea that travel to the Earth's center might someday become feasible" Is this not an extremely ludicrous claim? Why was it on the article for so long with neither a source nor a request for citation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.81.0.183 (talk) 22:59, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
