Tewapack, it says on Traralgon's website that "in 1977 [the event] became a fully accredited professional tournament." According to your media guide it wasn't until the next year. I don't doubt you but I guess would like additional confirmation. Once I get this I will delete the "fully accredited" sentence from the page.

Nigej, how are you finding all of these sources on Trove? Every time I search I only get Canberra Times stuff. I've tried using "Refine Search" but I don't get much more.

I don't know what "fully accredited professional tournament" means – maybe that it wasn't a pro-am anymore? Regardless, only the 1978 to 1981 winners are listed under "Former events" in the Media Guide. Tewapack (talk) 22:41, 17 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Many of my sources are not from Trove but from google news archive: https://news.google.com/newspapers . The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald are very useful (they go up to 1989). The main problem is that you need to know the date to find anything. So sometimes I find the date using Trove and then try to find a better article (in The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald) using google news archive. https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/ is free to search and sometimes covers Australian events; another way to get a date.
