Why was the store list removed?[edit]

NOTE: I am not editing this myself because I am not familiar with what the quality of Wikipedia should be. I am not editing this myself because I don't want to, and arguably shouldn't.

Something worth noting in the edit history, the store list was removed, and no reason was given.

I am more than aware, though that also brings more concern to me, that this edit was made by a Wikipedia employee. Employees of Wikipedia have the right to do anything they want with their website, as long as it doesn't violate the law.

I'm not complaining, insulting, or trying to change Wikipedia. I am just pointing this out. Namer707 (talk) 22:49, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Use of artificial spellings[edit]

Since 2007, it has been the consensus to avoid the use of the Cyrillic letter Ya in this article. In contrast, please check out a 2012 discussion at Talk:Client (band) I removed the statement that it was stylized with И (technically the character is the Cyrillic letter I, not a backwards N) but I was reverted. Why are the rules for these 2 Wikipedia articles inconsistent?? Georgia guy (talk) 17:05, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Georgia guy: Weirdly, the Client (band) article isn't even using И anymore, it's now using Pamphylian digamma (Ͷ)?? In any case, I cannot find any source to say what the inspiration for the band's stylised name is, whether it is Faux Cyrillic (see also I (Cyrillic)#Stylistic uses), or if it is genuinely intended as just a backwards N I do not know. In contrast, there are at least sources for Toys "R" Us explicitly saying it uses a backwards R for reasons that are nothing to do with Cyrillic at all.

Also it turns out Nine Inch Nails does the backwards N/Cyrillic И thing too in their logo. Monster Iestyn (talk) 16:48, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
