Contested deletion

This page should not be speedily deleted because it's targeting a different place from it's most recent iteration, and the deleting admin said it could be recreated targeting it's new location (the game Mafia) --Emk9 (talk) 19:02, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

The section it targeted was also removed as it was not backed by reliable sources. Re-addition of the sections should not occur unless such sources are found. Jalen D. Folf (talk) 19:48, 4 September 2019 (UTC)

Confused

Why is a video game being redirected to a party game? Although sharing many traits with the party game, a redirect seem to imply that they are identical, which they are not. Or is this a temporary redirect before Draft:Town of Salem (game) is ready for mainspace? It seems silly to be a redirect to the party game, in any case, like redirecting a work to something that inspired the work. I don't know. Crystical (talk) 20:27, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

@Crystical: Because Town of Salem is a name sometimes used for Mafia. Also the mafia article used to have a section on the video game since the video game is based on the card game to some extent, but it was removed Emk9 (talk) 22:54, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

Town of Salem switched to pay-to-play before the 2018 data breach. It switched in November 2018.

I Know This Article Has Been Nominated For Deletion, And Personally Disagree, As This Game Is Notably One Of The Most Well Known Social Deduction Games. Adding Mention Of The Sequel And Spin-Off Could Be A Justification To Not Delete It. MJB20077 (talk) 20:09, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

The sequel used to have its own article but it recently got redirected back here. Someone should probably make a section about ToS2 to deal with that HaapsaluYT (talk) 21:33, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
