I might agree, but I'd have to do some checking into what the tornado detection algorithm involves and how it's different, to make sure it meets the general notability guideline. If you have a draft of the article you want to submit, feel free to post it at User:Ks0stm/Tornado detection algorithm, I'll take a look over it, and once it's good enough I'll move it here in place of the redirect.
