Nickname[edit]

I have changed all the instances in which the nickname Yamapi instead of the surname Yamashita was used to refer to Yamashita Tomohisa. We may informally refer to him as Yamapi, but I don't think it is appropriate for an encyclopedia article. --Mareimbri 21:59, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Award for Ikebukuro West gate park[edit]

Drama-Wiki says, that not Yamashita but Kubozuka Yosuke got the Award for best supporting actor (which also makes more sense to me, as Yamapi didn't really do much in that drama). --Franczeska 10:27, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Profile[edit]

The profile is much too messy and much too long.

I do not believe that trivial information such as Yamashita Tomohisa's favourite bands, best friends, personality, etc, should be in that section. Ignoring the fact that the information was unreferenced in the first place, one should be aware that unlike birthdays, it is highly likely that information such as 'favourite phrase' can be changed as time goes on.

If anyone insists on the incorporation of such information in this page, I would suggest you do so by adding it to the the Biography section of his page instead of his Profile.

It should also be noted that 'Yamashita-kun' is not a nickname; calling someone by '-kun' is merely a casual way of addressing someone in Japanese. Frozencrumbz (talk) 01:38, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Real Name[edit]

On Bestuff.com, it says yamapi's real name is Tomohisa Aoki. User:dengakum —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.166.104.37 (talk) 05:05, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Aoki" is his father's surname, after his father left their family, he changed his surname into "Yamashita" which is his mother's surname.Infinitix (talk) 04:11, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So write about it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.166.108.254 (talk) 00:53, 7 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Variety Shows and Label[edit]

Re: 90's television shows He was a regular/semi-regular on quite a few variety and music shows as a kid. Unfortunately, a lot of these shows don't have working websites anymore. Wonder if I can just cite the show names + network? Hard to give an exact episode because for things like Music Jump he was on most of the time. I'm pretty sure the variety show info is (or was) in his artist timeline on the Johnny's Entertainment website.

Re: Label. He's definitely under the Johnny's Entertainment label and has releases as NEWS, GYM, Shuji to Akira and Tomohisa Yamashita under that label. No idea why that edit was removed. Jkr2010 (talk) 06:23, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
