Regional Authorities[edit]

Does the unified county remain divided, for regional co-ordination purposes, between the Mid-West Regional Authority and the South-East Regional Authority? And if not, what are the new arrangements? -- Picapica (talk) 09:07, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Follow-up: I've now found this on the South-East Regional Authorities website –

[the Regional Authorities] will be abolished in 2014 as part of the ‘Putting People First’ reform proposals announced by the Minister for the Environment, Community & Local Government. Under the reforms of local government the current eight Irish regions are to be reconfigured into three ‘super regions’ with regional assemblies.

Have failed so far, however, to uncover any detailed information about the new regions. Can anyone help? -- Picapica (talk) 09:27, 2 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
