TZ[edit]

I'd propose changing the times for Delta to WET as well - JVG 13:58, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Since it didn't make landfall as a tropical cyclone, I don't think that's necessary. --Golbez 15:27, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Edit: Hm, since it did cause significant effects to the Canary Islands, it should use their time zone. --Golbez 23:00, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
We've always used the times given by the NHC, I think we should stick to them. NSLE (讨论+extra) 00:15, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but Vince and Delta could be considered unusual circumstances, since storms almost always only ever impact Atlantic, Eastern, and Central time zones. --Golbez 03:01, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Todo[edit]

References needed. For a "list of facts" like this article, the references are especially important. Jdorje 08:26, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that is adressed now...--Nilfanion (talk) 23:21, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TS 27?[edit]

Should we make mention of "TS 27" - the early strengthening of Tropical Storm Gamma - in this timeline? —Cuiviénen (Cuivië) 04:18, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's probably a good idea.... Should I just go and add it? --AySz88^-^ 18:31, 4 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Post-season changes[edit]

This timeline has only been updated piecemeal with the data from the TCRs. For instance the incorrect operational downgrade of Epsilon is mentioned (as an aside does the timeline even need to mention the NHC got it wrong?) but things like the subtropical phase of Vince have been missed. As this is a timeline of the season and not the advisories, if the reanalysis changes things, do we really need to say 'after reanalysis' on each alteration? -- Nilfanion 14:39, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added entries about the unnamed subtropical storm, since the track was officially released on the NHC post-season track map. I didn't add any notes about landfall, pending the TCR. I cited the report page on the entries. --Coredesat 00:19, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Good article nomination for Timeline of the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season has failed, for the following reason:

This is really more a list than an article. You may want to try WP:FL instead. cholmes75 (chit chat) 16:06, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Figured as much, I think there should be a GL procedure.--Nilfanion (talk) 16:10, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To do[edit]

  • Strip date wiki-linking
  • Provide metric/imperial conversion for all units.
  • Wiki-link the first instance of all units
  • Add non-breaking spaces in the usual places.
  • Remove multiple wikilinks to the same article (e.g. Mexico has about 40 links)
  • Consider whether the bold text for landfalls and upgrades is appropriate. Revise if necessary
  • Does the chart belong above the lead?
  • Publication dates for references
  • Beef up the lead
  • Most Featured Lists are in tables. Does this whole article need to be put into massive tables or can it follow the example of Timeline of chemistry?
  • Pictures

Jose TCR (PDF) was published before the storm? I assume Franklin wrote the wrong year, but I'm not sure how to handle his mistake. Plasticup T/C 01:28, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Same for Delta. Plasticup T/C 02:13, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Zeta was never called Tropical Depression Thirty. That fact needs to be fixed. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 19:47, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what else can be done with the article... A-Class review seems to be the highest possible state for the article. Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 22:35, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
