Alt names[edit]

So are these names—Xianren (仙人, Xiānrén) and Daxian (大仙, Dàxiān)—just made up or just too uncommon to bother being mentioned on the Chinese page? Either way, (a) they seem like footnotes rather than main topics and (b) "celestial being" isn't the way we translate xian around here. — LlywelynII 23:47, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tianmu Mountain or Tianmu Mountains?[edit]

I think the most correct name is "Tianmu Mountains", because there are two separate mountains, West and East Tianmushan (西天目山 and 东天目山). Chinese "Tianmushan" is ambiguous, and can refer either to the better known West Tianmushan, or to both (as Chinese does not distinguish between singular and plural nouns). In the latter case, "Tianmushan" is better interpreted as a mountain range, hence the plural in English. I think the page should use this more general definition.
