Reversions[edit]

Recent changes have been made that are factually incorrect. The 2001 population change was the only accurate one, but the changes to the Governance section are wrong. The Councillor mentioned represents Thirsk ward at District level as per his page on the Council site, he just happens to live in the village of Thormanby. Click on this link to see it.

By using the Ordnance Survey reference in the article to access the up to date online mapping, which North Yorkshire County Council also use on its GIS service, and applying the various viewing options to see the boundaries of the District wards and County divisions, it is clear that the village is within those areas previously stated. Best site to see this would be the Local Government Boundary Commission via the link below and selecting the 'blue "Hambleton wards" toggle layer.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and while external links are not prohibited, there is an accepted style of writing that should be neutral in tone, which has not happened here, but i have maintained the links suggested, but in a form that is more usual amongst articles.Rimmer1993 (talk) 23:18, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
