Is this correct?[edit]

The last sentence of the article is as follows:

"A sculpture by Peter Sales was unveiled at the university 13 March 2012. It is entitled "Willmore Surface" and depicts a 4-lobed Willmore torus."

This is indeed a nice-looking sculpture.

But it is not clear what connection it has to Willmore surfaces, or what connection it has to any kind of "torus".

It appears to be two linked tori. The core circles of the two tori appear to have linking number equal to 2.

(I am not suggesting that this picture be removed from the article.)

But I hope that someone knowledgeable about the sculpture and mathematics can describe the sculpture accurately. 2601:200:C000:1A0:3014:AB85:A6F4:70EF (talk) 21:00, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
