Untitled[edit]

Thomas Graham was involved on the Battle of Barrosa on 5th March 1811 NOT the Battle of Barossa.

The spelling with one r and two s was as a result of a clerical error when a region in South Australia was named Barrosa Ranges by Colonel William Light in 1837. Subsequent errors saw the region called Barossa Ranges (and eventually Barossa Valley - an area now internationally known for wine production)

Balgowan, Dundee?[edit]

was Thomas Graham from the Balgowan that is now a part of Dundee? there is another two places called Balgowan, one to the west near Methven and one to the north near Pitlochry. If it is the area of Dundee can the article be amended to reflect this? I believe his cousin Colonel John Graham of Fintry (joined the 90th Regiment when it was raised by Thomas), hailed from Fintry in Dundee only a kilometre or so from the Balgowan in Dundee. The Balgowan referred to is the one near Methven, west of Perth, which is relatively close to both Moneydie & Lynedoch. I've removed the categories related to Dundee to reflect this. Stroness (talk) 11:27, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Brett-James, Antony (1959). General Graham. London: Macmillan[edit]

I am sorry to see this article rated as "start class" and would personally have thought it worthy of a much better rating. While I am most definitely interested in Lynedoch, I don't have any wish to improve this article myself. All I can say is that there is a vast amount of information in the Brett-James book; which is a thoroughly enjoyable read as well. If anyone (Adamdaley?) is interested in improving this article I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Anne (talk) 15:14, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Betaal reference[edit]

I believe the reference to the Bollywood production "Betaal" should be removed as that character's name is John, rather than Thomas, and is depicted as being active in India in 1857, when Lord Lynedoch would have been 109 years old and dead. 2600:1012:B1C1:3724:B982:6CA:4C3C:FD46 (talk) 01:30, 9 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
