Age claim[edit]

Though I'd like to see Ms. Bernstein promoted from 'longevity claim' to 'authenticated supercentenarian,' so far that has not happened. Anyone with information (documents) on this case may apply by leaving a message on my 'talk' page or e-mailing me at robertdouglasyoung@yahoo.com.

At least it seems like a credible claim. For example, it says she graduated from her design school in 1911, which would have made her 20/21 at the time, a perfectly legitimate age to be graduating. Cheers, CP 03:43, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hello my name is Joan Whalen, Director of Joan Whalenb Fine Art. I have handled the work of Theresa Bernstein for about twelve years. Many years ago, we went to Philadelphia and obtained the "Twelfth Census of the United States Schedule No. I - Population" signed by enumerator Robert P. Smith on the 12th day of June, 1900.
It reads very clearly as follows:
  • Isadore Bernstein - Head
  • Anna Bernstein - Wife
  • Theresa Bernstein Daughter - born March 1890 - 10 years - Austria.
I will be happy to make a copy for any art historian. Sincerely, Joan Whalen jwhalenfineart@att.net 212 397-9700 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.103.215.192 (talkcontribs) 14:35, 10 October 2009

I am Theresa's great-nephew, and I can corroborate the statement made above by Joan Whalen. I can also furnish a copy of Theresa's 1907 graduation certificate from elementary school.
