Collocation[edit]

It seems unclear what the intention of the paragraph on collocation is. Although not factually inaccurate, it seems strangely skewed. I think that a reference or two might clear up any misconceptions. --DanielGreenwood 12:14, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed unsourced (and, arguably biased) claims about "lack of approval by many students and staff" and found a source for the official school view. I feel that the article is now A OK. --03x072 20:47, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a paragraph on the two colleges as the school does not have one itself, and this is an important piece of information. In the future, you may wish to add something again about the co-location, which would be useful. Staff Titles[edit]

The use of the term 'School Improvement Facilitator' is unhelpful. Either an understandable description should be given (a paragraph on staff titles, including SLMs, SLTs etc. would be useful and should be considered) or a generic equivalent should be used, e.g. Head of Department. School Foundation - Date queried[edit]

I am surprised to read the school was founded in 1939. The boy's part was, to my knowledge of local history, founded before WWI - its main buildings in the town centre (now housing Shrewsbury Sixth Form College) date from 1910 as there is a war memorial plaque to pupils who died serving in that war, and Mary Webb's husband Henry Bertram Law Webb was a teacher there during Mary's lifetime (she died in 1927, he died in a rock climbing accident in 1939, before outbreak of WWII, having settled in London and ceased to teach in Shrewsbury shortly before Mary's death). The premises on Longden Road today were built to house the counterpart girls' Priory School.Cloptonson (talk) 20:21, 26 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
