Captain Hook or Captain James?[edit]

Hello. Considering that James Hook hasn't actually a hook in place of his hand in this film, why should we refer to him as "Hook" instead of just "James?"

A reason to refer to him as Hook is that most readers might be more familiar with this name for this character. A reason not to name him that is that it is innacurate. He loses his hand in a fight with Peter Pan -- thus deciding to use a hook in its place -- much later than this film. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kryzon (talk • contribs) 23:43, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
