Afghan Panel[edit]

I'll swear to the mentioning of the Afganistan version of The Panel on the Christmas ep. - Tommy G was asked several times whether it was a joke and every time he swore to its truth. kju 10:49, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll concur with this - I watched it and Tom did say that. Steven Plunkett 12:47, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the proposal was no consensus to move this page to the plain title. Whether the redirect should be a redirect or a dab is a separate editoral question. Dekimasuよ! 02:47, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • The Panel (Australian TV series)The Panel — This was the original name for the article before one user moved it for being "irritated" by not being able to find the article for the Irish version of the show, despite the disambiguation link being already in place at the top of the page. This is the originating version of the show, and almost all relevant links from other pages link to the original name of the article. --Misterkillboy (talk) 14:07, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

Oppose I searched Google using the names of each of the shows and two cast members for each to thus attempt to target the particular show while avoiding pages that are fansites for one particular actor listing his/her appearances. I get 1670 hits for the Australian show, verses 1850 hits for the Irish show. I don't think Panel really needs to figure into the equation at all. It's unlikely anyone searching for information on generic panels would normally ever search for "the panel", though I think having it listed on the dab page is a good idea. Obviously, if panel was in the mix, without the article "the", it would be the primary topic. There thus does not appear to be a primary topic between the two talk shows, and no real conflict between "the panel and "panel" so the dab page should remain.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 13:46, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
