Anyone who cannot cope with mathematics is not fully human.[edit]

RAH was not a notable mathematician and not, as far as I am aware, even as proficient as a good BSc or MSc in that field. Which is all fine... except he just keeps on harping on this point. What was his damage? Did he have a chip on his shoulder, or, conversely, did he just about manage to solve a first-order ODE and somehow believed this modest prowess elevated him above his fellow man?
