Criticism[edit]

Removed the criticism section for being very one sided, almost as an ad for Truth.com. It shows almost a complete opposite of the article at Truth.com and needs to be rewritten. Bnszero 06:11, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the edit[1]. I agree it could be better written. And rather than referencing the truth.com website it should reference the State of Minnesota v. Philip Morris, et al. trial documentation or an archived AAP newsfeed but it may be noteworthy. The fact that cigars appeared in Muppet movie may not have been as a result of product placement, but it was shown that tobacco products unknown were provided free for this use.--Timtak (talk) 00:41, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I re-wrote almost the entire plot summary. As previously written, the summary was overly detailed (a Wikipedia no-no); a summary is supposed to merely touch on the plot points of major interest, not mention nearly every scene. The previous summary was also full of hyperbole, as in, "it's Dr. Teeth to the rescue!" -- definitely non-encyclopedic in nature. My summary may still need improvement, but it's still much better (by these standards) than the previous one. Minaker 11:37, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a reason for the inclusion of a useless and crytic list of original air dates on TV? 210.79.185.240 (talk) 07:34, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 10:27, 30 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Muppetland[edit]

The first line in the production section strikes me as odd:

"The first time a Muppet project is NOT set in Muppetland, instead the plot is based on the real world."

The bolded capitalisation aside, exactly how do we define "Muppetland" and how is it distinct from the "real world" as fictionalised in this film? I've looked on the Muppet Wiki and they don't appear to define the concept there.

My first thought was to remove the line, but I thought I'd ask first, as it's been in the article for nearly a year, apparently unchallenged.[2] --Dominic Hardstaff (talk) 19:53, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This has been changed. Good. Derekbd (talk) 18:06, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Summary[edit]

Re-worked entire plot summary in response to copy edit tag. I feel this satisfies the tag and have removed it. If anybody has any suggestions or feels the tag should be reapplied, I would appreciate your comments. Thanks.Geno the Great (talk) 06:03, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Breaking the Fourth Wall[edit]

What the bloody heck?!? You forgot in the plot description to mention that this whole movie is just a movie the Muppets are watching. This leads to confusion for the reader at the end where they read how the Muppets are singing a song with the cast of characters. You need to mention this whole thing is just a movie and they are just following a script...I mean come on guys!!!! -James Pandora Adams
