Little Girls Name[edit]

Is there any proof in/outside the movie that the little girl is "Peyton" and not "Payton". I always invisioned it spelt "Payton" because of the way it was pronounced? - businessman332211 (talk) 19:41, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

According to IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0492956/), her name is Peyton Kelly. 69.255.138.28 (talk) 04:42, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia isn't a place for blogging. Jeff Winchester has provided some interesting and relevant verifiable information, but it's mixed in with a journal entry with a distinct point-of-view. Cg-realms 01:29, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of "needs infobox" tag[edit]

This article has had its infobox tag removed by a cleanup using AWB. Any concerns please leave me a message at my talk page. RWardy 06:24, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adding information[edit]

I usually butcher my references when I try, so would someone be kind enough to add it made $22.7 million (instead of $22.6) and it beat out The Kingdom in the opening weekend?

Disney[edit]

Just commentary- half of the movie seemed like a Disney Channel advertisement with all the references to that channel!!! 68.193.149.189 22:39, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the NASCAR race in the background in a scene where they are watching both NASCAR and The Suite Life With Zack and Cody looks like the footage was from a NASCAR Race that aired on Fox (as you hear Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip) that aired in 2006 or 2007 during the fliming of the movie, but the owners of the footage of the NASCAR Race is NASCAR Digital's property (NASCAR Digital is NASCAR's film company.)--Boutitbenza 69 9 (talk) 05:26, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Super Bowl 42[edit]

If the Patriots had Dwayne Johnson (in spirit) because the NFL Licensed the term "Super Bowl" and teams to Disney, would the Patriots have won because of that added bit of "destiny" working on people's minds?

Boston vs. New York in the Championship game in a movie of fall 2007.

Fortelling, or Sports movie formula ala Fever Pitch's Boston vs. New York?

I tried to see if anyone else has referenced this, but links aren't very solid. (I tried to de-"blogify" my original talk) Herb Riede (talk) 15:32, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fake Sequel?[edit]

In the main article it appears that the sequel is a hoax. Anyone else have info on what the sequel "must be" or about the "Winx Club Management"?Memindy (talk) 17:32, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Omission of Madison Pettis in the infobox starring list, and now the lede[edit]

I've noticed a couple of edits doing just that, one back in November [1], and one a little while ago [2]. The explanation for the November edit says "per billing block", and I managed to confirm that from the back of the DVD case.

In the instructions for "starring" under Template:Infobox film, it says In general, use the billing block of the poster for the film's original theatrical release as a rule of thumb for listing starring actors. If unavailable, use the top-billed actors from the screen credits. An alternative approach may be determined by local consensus. (emphasis mine) While the billing block does omit Pettis, in the film's poster, she is clearly pictured, to the left of Dwayne Johnson (or his right) in a ballet outfit. And in the cast section, her name is listed second, after Johnson ... and including her name would follow the alternate approach given in the infobox instructions (in the event the billing block wasn't available).

One clear problem is the billing block is in fine print and very obscure when trying to magnify the poster photo in the article ... and I think searching online for a bigger photo of the poster still shows no better result in trying to read the billing block. Readers may not be aware of the guideline mentioned above, or what a billing block is, but some may have watched the film and know Pettis has a prominent role in the film, so omitting her name in the conspicuous parts of the article doesn't sound right. And given she is pictured in the poster should say something about that.

I'd rather have a better WP:CONSENSUS about this, but I plan to restore her name to both the lede and infobox, pending further discussion. Thoughts? MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:34, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Variety list her after Johnson as does The Hollywood Reporter. AFI has her in the cast section. Reliable sources top what a marketing poster says. Mike Allen 03:01, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
