Overhaul needed?

Isn't it about time that this article received an overhaul of some sort? The vast majority is taken from a fansite without proper sourcing or classification. Considering the amount of information available about this manga, I propose that it be expanded and reorganized. I would have done something, but it seems proper to get a consensus before embarking on anything. Euhsung 04:48, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Five Star Stories → The Five Star Stories — Official name for the series includes a prefixing "The." Official English reading as listed in ja.wikipedia.org's version of the article confirms this. It's always been abbreviated as "FSS," yes. The logo, however, has always contained the "The." This has been a constant ever since the manga was first serialized.

In my youth, I was also led to believe that it's proper grammatical decorum not to include "uncapitalized" parts of a title (like "the" or "of") in acronyms...Though I see that "rule" constantly being broken nowadays, so take that for what it's worth. XD --E. Megas 20:32, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

TODO:

Overview of the manga storyline, data on the worlds involved (Addler. Juno, et al.), character descriptions, comparison between manga and movie (and how Nagano decried the movie's existence for so long). In the long term, additional articles are probably going to be needed. Heck, the section on Fatima already qualifies! Lot of work to do in general if anyone deems themselves interested-- --E. Sure, I'll take you up on your offer. In the long term, I hope to see a well structured and (generally) accurate set of wikipedia articles, like the Chinese Wikipedia entry. What I want to know is exactly what was wrong with the previous entry? To the best of my knowledge it was accurate and fairly complete for a basic treatise on FSS and the Joker galaxy. I would think that the specific details pertaining to Joker and FSS are far too numerous and lengthy for discussion on a site such as Wikipedia, and would be best left to specialty webpages such as Gearsonline. Also, I've noticed a possible discrepancy on the MH page. It mentions that Mortar Headds are partialy bio-mechanical, when supplemental material released (in the English version) mention that there are no living parts in a Mortar Headd at all...that they are fully mechanical constructs. Was additional information presented in later material, such as the Internal Structure of Mortar Headd article from Characters 11: Smoke Walls? Additionally, on the main page, it mentions the 26 volumes of FSS produced thus far, but this only covers the english version. The Japanese version is up to volume 12 (the english version covers only up to Japanese volume 10) with supplemental material being released pertaining to the next few volumes.

NSG, if there's anything that needs to be edited, do it. I remember that the old settings had MH as semiorganic entities, but that could very well have changed. I'm just doing what the thread starter wanted, and it's nice to have a few more chunks of info in the page anyway. Having a big page for everything isn't really the best way to go. To be honest, FSS isn't really that popular here, but it's at least something to start on. If nothing else, it would be useful to gauge the popularity of FSS here and rope in a few more readers too, since wikipedia is way more widely known than GO. No offense. The volume debate has been on since 2004/5, but it doesn't really matter at this point since it really is quite a trivial point. Any good fan active seeks out other sources than the manga itself, especially in a series like FSS. Euhsung 19:49, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
