Errors[edit]

I've been trying to clean up the errors on this page and add reliable citations. I think this whole sentence should be deleted from the first paragraph of the article: "While some dismissed Arabella as a coquette who simply used romance as a tool, Scott Paul Gordon said that she "exercises immense power without any consciousness of doing so".[3] The citation had been tagged as unreliable--it references a quotation in a student paper. And there are no references for the "some" possessing the first opinion.

The page needs a section addressing the most recent critical opinions of the novel.
