The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars (season 3) → The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars (season 2) – To bring the show into line with IMDB, TVDB and the TMBD. I have already moved season 2 to season 1 and changed the lede on all three seasons, but season 3 needs to be moved over an existing redirect (from moving S2 to S1 Dimspace (talk) 00:25, 16 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

- @Gonnym: They are considered seperate shows on the TVDB https://thetvdb.com/series/the-challenge-champs-vs-pros v https://thetvdb.com/series/the-challenge-champs-vs-stars as well as on both IMDB and TMDB. It was raised at Talk:The Challenge (TV series)#Champs vs. Stars (naming) back in 2018 but nobody followed up. All the major databases have them as seperate shows and then Champs v stars as S1 and S2. Makes sense for us to be consistent with imdb/tvdb/tmdb. And yes, as far as the main Challenge series goes they are spin offs (just as the challenge itself is a spin off from real world and road rules). The Challenge has separate season numbering.   - The problem is IMDb is certainly not – and I'm pretty sure TVDB isn't either – considered to be a WP:Reliable source, so that's no help at all. Probably the only thing that matters is whether MTV considered them "different shows" or "different seasons of the same show". Until that question is answered, I am unable to offer a !vote on this, and I'm guessing Gonnym can't either... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:45, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Verify season number?[edit]

There seems to be some confusion on this topic in regards to what season number this is. The first line refers to a "second" installment with a premiere on April 2018, which the main page for The Challenge says this is the "third" installment. Can anyone clarify here, as this is also the direct result of an IP trying to copy&paste content from [[The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars (season 1) into the page now moved to The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars (season 3) for the time being.
