piece of ass???[edit]

This is in italics but not in quotation marks - I doubt such an Americanism was a quote of either Bacon, an Irishman or Dyer, a Londoner. So should it be in the article - surely there is a better, more encyclopaedic descriptor? Same goes for 'pissed.'82.32.238.139 (talk) 16:00, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reworded. Yes it is a terrible Americanism. Ceoil sláinte 01:41, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

George Dyer Death Date[edit]

Hi,

This article here says Dyer committed suicide in 1972, however the article on Francis Bacon himself suggests it was actually in late 1971, in October just before Bacon's retrospective. I've had a look around and I can't find a definitive source, but I'm leaning towards the actual year being 1971 based on the number of sites suggesting that. Does anyone have knowledge of Dyer specifically? Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have his own page.
