king of the hill[edit]

i know something like this went on in one of the king of the hill episodes, it was the one where the propane guy from new york came down and hank and some guy "MF" something were competing with him. also there was a simpsons episode, all i remeber is that someone gave marge a body bag because "that was a lot of meat". anyone wants to add a pop culture section know yourself out. 70.224.33.40 02:32, 22 August 2006 (UTC)xenokilla, 21/8/06[reply]

Water[edit]

I think I can handle the 72 ounce steak but their website doesn't specify if you are allowed to drink water, or anything for that matter, during the challenge ? 72.209.63.226 (talk) 18:35, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Did you actually bother to look at the photo "Two men take the steak challenge on April 6, 2008"??????? Had you done so, you would have answered your question.

The Big Texan Steak RanchBig Texan Steak Ranch — The "the" seems superfluous and a violation of naming conventions. If you look at the image, on the side of the restaurant, it says "Big Texan", not "The Big Texan" Purplebackpack89 17:08, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Their website is located at http://www.bigtexan.com/, and likewise uses 'Big Texan' prominantly without use of the definitive article. City of Destruction (The Celestial City) 01:02, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Not quite. The company also uses The Big Texan Steak Ranch and Motel, particularly on their Contacts page. Wikipedia:Naming conventions (companies) states In some cases, leading articles (usually The) and suffixes (such as Company, International, Group, and so forth) are an integral part of the company name and should be included as specified by the company, especially when necessary for disambiguation (for example, The Walt Disney Company or The Coca-Cola Company). There is nothing wrong with the current title, provided that is what the company uses. Their website isn't exactly the best designed site in the world, and is so heavy in resources it's crashed my computer three times, so I have no intention of looking any further on there. • Oppose Its Twitter feed is "Thebigtexan". When you Google the company, the result comes up as "The Big Texan Steak Ranch." There's no compelling reason to remove the article. Townlake (talk) 05:31, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind... Silly me for not reading the "for finishing the entire meal" part. Tee hee. :D --174.49.121.101 (talk) 03:07, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
