Just reverted[edit]

I just reverted a sentence claiming that individuals other than Bill W. wrote the big book. It was tied to | this reference . This reference lead to the opening page of a slide show. "The Big Book " is referenced | At this link and at this link, no such claim was made about the Book. Therefore I removed the reference. KoshVorlon 19:51, 22 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As can be seen in the following, Bill declared himself the sole author of the book even though he was not:

"Ruth Hock said the Big Book would not have been written without Bill, and it would not have been published without Hank. And [except for the opening paragraph], Hank wrote...the chapter 'To Employers.' "But Hank became very hostile toward Bill. Problems developed between them over the way Hank was setting up Works Publishing Co., as a for-profit corporation, with himself as President. As a result of the feedback from group members, Bill listed himself as the sole author of the Big Book as a means of counter-balancing this." ^[1] Reports of Bill having also used ghost writers for other portions of the book can be found but are difficult to fully-decipher.

"because of the thickness of the paper used in the first edition"[edit]

Can anyone find a reference for this? I just always assumed it's, uh, cuz it's a rather big book - lots of pages. Has nothing to do with the thickness of the individual pages.

Anyway, seems a strange thing to say without any backup.
