Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because The Analogues made Dutch national television twice in the last couple of days. A full hour documentary was made and aired on 1 June 2017, describing the efforts required to be able to do live performances of The Beatles' album 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'. That album topped music charts around the world for months and is regarded by many as one of the most important in pop music history. However, The Beatles never performed it live. From 1967 onwards (the year Sgt Pepper's came out), The Beatles were a proper studio band. The complex compositions and experimental use of studio technology made it impossible at the time to reproduce the music in a live performance. The Analogues claim to be the first in the world to have performed the entire album live. Their performance was broadcast on Dutch national television on 2 June 2017. --GeeTeeBee (talk) 14:46, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
