Major issues[edit]

The topic has a fairly narrow scope implied by its title. Perhaps it could be broadened to Geology of the South China Sea, especially since there is a geology section in the South China Sea#Geology page. You could add more information on the sediments, and economic geology (oil and shell grit), and more on volcanoes and earthquakes. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 04:54, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions from An[edit]

1.Figure 8 can be retraced, make it more clear. 2.I’m curious about a new section about “implication for Hydrocarbon (or other resources) exploration. 3.A brief introduction about IODP drilling and survey in the area might be helpful. And put an external link to IODP South China Sea area projects.

Tasha's Review[edit]

Overall a decent introduction to the South China Sea Techtonics, a few grammatical and continuity issues, but they aren't major. I have two concerns, which are fairly minor; first, not all people will know what Ma stands for, so consider writing a few out eg. 3 million years (3 Ma), second when you have images on both the left and right, consider staggering their locations so there is no image-text-image-sandwich effect, particularly where there are wide images.

Use of copyrighted images[edit]

As far as I can tell, all the images used in this article are being used without the permission of the copyright holders. This needs to be dealt with quickly or the images will be deleted from commons. Either get permission, or redraw the figures yourself (but don't copy too closely).
