While looking for his Japanese name, I've stumbled across the Japanese page of Suihō Tagawa. There, we can read: "村山知義らが主宰する前衛芸術集団『マヴォ』に参加し高見沢 路直と名乗っていたものの深入りはせず、1926年（大正15年）に卒業". Basically, it says he participated in Mavo as the pseudonym "Takamizawa Michinao". Do you have any information on this, Netherzone (pinging you as the page creator)? Any of your sources indicate it? If it's true, and it seems to be (both were born and died in the same year; what are the odds?) a merge should be done. Gabriel Yuji (talk)
@Gabriel Yuji: Hello and nice to meet you here! All of the sources (books, journal articles, etc.) as well as all of the museum collections and shows have his name as Takamizawa Michinao or Michinao Takamizawa.
This is the first I've heard of Suihō Tagawa, and there is some ambiguity as to which name may be a pseudonym. The en-WP article on Tagawa states in the lede that the pen name is Suihō Tagawa, but in the second paragraph it's the other way around. So there is some confusion. When I find a little time, I will look deeper into this.
I'm not a big fan of mergers, and considering the scholarly sources all use Takamizawa Michinao or Michinao Takamizawa and there is the ambiguity as to the correct pen name, I think it might be best to leave the two articles as is (and connect them via wikilinks). To my way of thinking, it's analogous to Ziggy Stardust and David Bowie having separate articles, even though they were the same person in the same body.
