Anyhow, as per Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Japan-related_articles#Modern_names, the guidance states that if one "most commonly used name" cannot be determined for a Japanese person, the first priority would be the "the form personally or professionally used by the person". If http://www.takahiro-sonoda.com/e_bio.html is the official website, would this mean "Takahiro Sonoda" would be the form he professionally used?
