Renaming of this page?[edit]

Have we considered renaming this page to "Tactical (album)" or something like that and redirecting the term Tactical to Military tactics? I think that is what most people think of when they search for or link using that phrase. Any thoughts? I am going to pose a similar question on the talk page for Military tactics. Thanks KConWiki (talk) 12:33, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am cleaning up some of these now, but here is an example of an instance where an article about a military operation inadvertently linked to the article for the album. KConWiki (talk) 12:43, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@KConWiki: there are more mislinks now. Apparently for a heavy-metal album "Tactical reached number 23 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart, selling around 900 copies in its first week" is notable. There are three options here. One is to constantly check the album for mislinks. The other is to have Tactical (disambiguation) at the baseline so dabbot will automatically pick up links. The third is simply redirect to Tactics. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:46, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

TacticalTactical (album) – Currently, and for some time, there have been problems with linking of the phrase "tactical" to the page for the 2011 album by World Under Blood, when what is really intended is a link to the page for Military tactics (or perhaps something else). In my view, it would be ideal to move the album page as suggested, and to have the search phrase "tactical" redirect to Tactic. Any concerns, let's please discuss. • Move–Yes, there's no way this album is the primary. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 03:31, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
SmokeyJoe has exercised more diligence than me; I agree with the suggestion to Revert/History split. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 08:54, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Revert to redirect to Tactic; History split the versions from 21:16, 11 April 2011 to Tactical (album). An IP overwrote the redirect with the article on the album. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 04:40, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, i.e. Revert so album has (album) cannot understand why IP would do that, but anyway, glad it is going to be fixed. In ictu oculi (talk) 14:07, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, i.e. Revert so album has (album) - If the approach above is the best means of achieving this end, then I support that approach. KConWiki (talk) 03:43, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support what's said above. Paintspot Infez (talk) 12:53, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. An obscure album is certainly not the primary meaning of this common word. -- Necrothesp (talk) 16:25, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
