Release Date[edit]

Via a 2-page sheet I got from gamestop for the Wii, TNA iMPACT! will be released on 9/2/08. Not going to edit since no other site announced it yet. Rollinman (talk) 05:17, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea. GameStop isn't that reliable. They change release dates frequently. At times it seems like they just make them up, just to get more pre-orders. RobJ1981 (talk) 05:46, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Speaking of release dates, Hollywood Video claims the game will be released on August 28th. What's the deal there? They claim they're absolutely positive about it, but all the video game websites I've visited say the release date is September 8th. So, when is it really coming out? By the way, what in the hell are you smokin' 71.235.224.229? SexySeaFlounderThe $R$ 02:19, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Lots of places have different dates. Perhaps Hollywood Video is just going on rumors. That commment towards the IP editor wasn't needed. From what I see, that editor hasn't edited for a bit... so there was no reason to drag that into this discussion. RobJ1981 (talk) 15:21, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I guess we'll all have to see when it's really coming out. Whether it's August 28, or October 5, I just want it. Oh, and about the comment about the IP editor,

I just thought it was sort of odd for someone to put up a discussion claiming that Will Smith, Y2J, Kong, and Godzilla would be in the new game. Peace Out SexySeaFlounderThe $R$ 00:52, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

hey can some one check if the release date is for real coz i cant see anything on the link —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.13.212.25 (talk) 14:25, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought people knew by now that most stores use placeholder dates (estimates that they enter just so they can have a date in their computer system). TJ Spyke 16:18, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Roster I Have Proof I Just dont no how to put a link with it properly so u do it[edit]

On the Official Website They Have the Roster Features and all that stuff heres a link http://www.tnagame.com/us/ also check the features and it says christopher daniels is in —Preceding unsigned comment added by GTA7 (talkcontribs) 00:03, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fatal Four Way[edit]

Should the portion listing the Fatal Four Way be changed into just Four Way? According to the linked page the term Fatal Four Way is trademarked by WWE and I'm presuming that it would not appear in a TNA-based game because of that. Any thoughts on this? -- Flyingcandyman (talk) 23:34, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That is correct, because WWE could file a lawsuit for that, but what source lists the match as "Four Way"?--SRX--LatinoHeat 16:23, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Go to the bottom of the features page on the game website. They list "fatal four way" http://www.tnagame.com/us/ hope I could help. I've never done this before.

After checking the WWE site, they don't list anything on copyrighted matches. In fact, I hardly think Fatal Four Way is/would be a copyrighted term, since I have seen it in other places. 12.216.83.242 (talk) 00:29, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They can't copyright the term "Fatal Four Way" since that is not how copyrights work (see copyright and trademark). I could not find any trademark for "Fatal Four Way" on the USPTO site. TJ Spyke 16:18, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

roster list[edit]

why cant we have one. tnagame.com/us has one —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.99.45.230 (talk) 15:04, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a full roster list 1362talk 20:17, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

and? wwesmackdownvsraw2008 had parcial roster lists for months before they had a full roster releasei dont see no problem with it. this website is here so show the facts, and the facts are that their is a parcial roster its not like where speculating is it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.13.68.233 (talk) 20:38, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus has changed since then and roster lists will only be allowed when it is a full list. 1362talk 21:57, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As 1362 said, consensus was changed during a discussion about SvR 2008, which is why Svr 2009, Legends of WrestleMania and iMPACT, are not to list the roster list until all names are released.--SRX--LatinoHeat 01:46, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

i was the guy that asked about the parcial roster being added, thanks for clearing it up for me i wasnt aware that a decision hade been made about the parcial roster debate —Preceding unsigned comment added by Danstarbuck (talkcontribs) 21:07, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Meh, I honestly think that partial rosters should be posted only if the game will be released in a certain amount of time(Like a month). I mean, if it comes down to that far, and a full roster hasn't been announced, a partial roster should be put up. Then again, this is just my opinion. 12.216.83.242 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 00:22, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Take complaints like that to a messageboard, this is not the place for people to complain about the game (it's meant to discuss ways to improve the article). TJ Spyke 16:18, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am not 100% sure that there is championship titles in the game but there is a small amout of prouth —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sighter (talkcontribs) 13:54, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CAW[edit]

can u make ur oun superstars? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Marcos26 (talkcontribs) 05:49, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is not the place to ask that, article talkpages are for discussing ways to improve the article. TJ Spyke 16:18, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cover suggestion[edit]

Since the game has two covers, one of which features Sting and Kurt Angle among others and the one currently used in the article, is it possible to feature both covers on the main page while it's still unofficial? Godfather Ralph (talk) 08:33, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It has 3, actually. But the TNA website advertises the current cover, as well as the commercial. SAVIOR_SELF.777 03:51, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well I plan on after a month or two with it being out to expand this article to GA then FA. It would be smart to have all 3 covers, then I can place them in the production section. So as a means to show that TNA had two promotional covers (well teaser covers) and one official cover.--WillC 04:14, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Where do you see 3 covers? All 4 versions of the game have the same cover. We don't show temp covers (most games have a temp cover until the publisher decides on a final one). Besides, having 3 different covers shown would more than likely kill its chances of being a FA since that would be pushing the fair use rule (as each cover is copyrighted). Take a look at The Simpsons Game, it's on 6 different systems and all 6 have their own cover; yet we only have 1 cover because of fair use. TJ Spyke 17:14, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It was just a thought. Plus I doubt it would destroy its chances at an FA. Alot of video game articles have many pictures that are fair use. Anyway I'm not even sure how I'll write the thing. I guess I'll copy off of Guitar Hero (video game).--WillC 17:38, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Having multiple covers of the same game would be the fair use problem, it's the same reason we don't use different international covers for the same game. Doing so MIGHT still allow it to get GA status, but it would get shot down easily by people reviewing it for FA status. TJ Spyke 15:59, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Question[edit]

I don't have the game but it'd be really helpful if you do have the game and split the roster list into playable from the start and hidden wrestlers.BlackFrostFan (talk) 20:37, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sly Cooper[edit]

Why does it say he was in it.

It's called vandalism. It's been take care of. If you see vandalism, feel free to revert it (unless the page is semi-protected or protected, where unregistered users can edit it). TJ Spyke 13:48, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sequel[edit]

we need to start talking about the next tna game. we know that there will be Knockouts and More Match Types. if you find out anything else about the Sequel Post it here —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.109.78.184 (talk) 10:10, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is no confirmed sequel, yet alone any info on it. Also, this is not a discussion board. TJ Spyke 16:22, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About certain lines of the second paragraph in "Story Mode Plot"...[edit]

In the final cutscene it was revealed the Suicide told Joe during the match that the were in that whenever the locked up he told Joe the story and after he heard enough left Suicide win to avoid having to get hurt. Joe and Nash then interrogated every one in TNA until they found where LAX was hiding and right before Suicide's match against Angle burst in LAX's place and saved Eric.

Apparently, whomever wrote this never graduated from grammar school, because those lines are full of spelling errors & such. Could someone re-write it so it's more understandable? Thanks. 24.12.89.226 (talk) 05:29, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
See WP:BOLD. If no one else does it though, I will. TJ Spyke 05:40, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The only problem, though, is that I've never played the game, so I don't know how the storyline goes. 24.12.89.226 (talk) 20:06, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The paragraph was already changed.--69.72.86.52 (talk) 16:45, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PS2[edit]

does the game allow you to make CAW's in the PS2 version —Preceding unsigned comment added by The C of E (talkcontribs) 09:29, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a messageboard, this page is for discussing the article itself. Try asking at some place like GameFAQs (I can't answer you anyways since I haven't played any version of the game). TJ Spyke 15:54, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Suicide[edit]

Suicide (Wrestler) redirects here. Not sure whether it's a glitch or what.207.250.21.31 (talk) 19:19, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's because it's it shouldn't go anywhere else. At least 2 different wrestlers have played Suicide (Kaz and Christopher Daniels). Plus, Suicide as a wrestler seems to just be to help promote the games and I doubt he will be a long term gimmick. TJ Spyke 19:24, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He's X-division champ he should get a page.LifeStroke420 (talk) 03:25, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do we know who is currently playing him? Because you would think that now that he is X-Divsion Champ that he have a permanent dude playing him. 207.250.21.31 (talk) 21:19, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I think it should be noted that Doink the Clown has his own wikipedia page. 207.250.21.31 (talk) 17:38, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Goofs[edit]

They're deffently goofs in this game (the Benny one) shouldn't there be something that deals with Goofs on the page?--09nick (talk) 21:44, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Even if it was sourced, it seems like trivia at best (which is discourage according to WP:TRIVIA). It doesn't really improve the article IMO. TJ Spyke 21:51, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Though it may not inprove the article, it is good to list some minor goofs, even if discoraging (I think the Benny one is funny).--69.72.86.52 (talk) 16:43, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

The result of this discussion was to not merge... Nikki311 20:15, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to merge TNA Impact!: Cross the Line into this article. It is basically a PSP and DS port of this game with the removal and addition of some characters. As such, I feel that this should just be a section in this article as opposed to being its own article. Thoughts? --SAVIOR_SELF.777 04:48, 10 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. It's something that should have been done years ago. The PSP and DS versions are pretty much what Midway themselves were supposed to release for the portable systems before they went under. It's the same game, released by different publishers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HimanshuDoi (talkcontribs) 10:12, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. I believe the differences between the portable and home versions were strong enough to warrant separate articles. 50.169.144.205 (talk) 02:58, 12 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I oppose the merger. I will note that the article for cross the line makes it sound like a port but it was intended and marketed as a separate game. 67.85.190.99 (talk) 12:43, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
