Species' name[edit]

IUCN (2010) and FishBase both list this species as Synodontis resupinatus. FishBase, in particular, lists S. resupinata as a synonym and marks it as a "misspelling of the species' name that must not be used": Synonyms of Synodontis resupinatus Boulenger, 1904
