Talk:Synap

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi everyone - I have taken the liberty of creating this page for Synap, a company which I am involved with, but I have not been paid to produce the page. As such I am declaring an unpaid COI in the production of this page. In my estimation, the userbase, funding and media coverage around Synap meets the 'notability' criteria for organisations, and I have compared this to other pages for websites in a similar category such as Gojimo, Skritter and WankiKani.

I have endeavoured to write the page from a factual and neutral perspective, covering the objective facts and publications behind the company, and welcome second opinions from more experienced editors. If there is anything in the page that you feel does not meet Wikipedia's guidelines or needs further referencing, please feel free to edit or raise it to my attention here.

Thanks for your time! :)

"This article contains content that is written like an advertisement."[edit]

Wikipedia user Kudpug has politely suggested I review my sources and remove any that may be inadmissable. After another read-through and suggestions from editors, I've made several fairly significant changes (mostly deletions) to the article to remove inadmissable references and content that may be seen as biased or 'promotional' as much as possible.

Would greatly appreciate further thoughts and input from the community regarding this.

A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject[edit]

Happy that this has been flagged after I declared an interest.

I've made an effort to produce an objective, neutral article about the company, though obviously this needs to be verified by other people. Looking forward to review and changes by 3rd-party editors and happy to assist with referencing / queries where possible.

This is the first page I've created and it's a new writing style for me to adopt and hoping to get better at. Apologies for any areas that may fall short of wikipedia standards, please point these out to me and feel free to edit as you see fit :)
