Removed statement[edit]

I have removed the following uncited statement from the article:

"The tunnel is one of only four bored tunnels in Western Australia, the only other bored railway tunnel links the Esplanade and the Perth stations."

The underground railway in Perth actually consists of 4 separately-bored tunnels: one tunnel for each track between Esplanade and Perth underground station, and one tunnel for each track from the Perth underground station, underneath the surface railway lines and up to meet the old Joondalup line tracks. - Mark 02:33, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It probably needs a re-write and a good source on the info above and the actual detail as to its original boring SatuSuro 08:12, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Over-relied upon link[edit]

Is a lost link - this article is badly in need of WP:RS to be incorporated - as some assertions need good cites/sources - or they need to be removed SatuSuro 10:31, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Other types of Garratt locomotives[edit]

Would the safety problem with the ASG Garratt also apply to other glasses of Garratt?

Up and Down ?[edit]

<blockview> The single line tunnel was considered unsafe for Up trains (that is travelling east),[6][7] and a diversion was added on the northern side of the hill that the tunnel passed through. </blockview>

Usually Up trains go towards the principal or capital city (Perth) which is westbound. Please explain ! Tabletop (talk) 10:32, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Are Up (westbound) trains going uphill or downhill through the tunnel? Tabletop (talk) 14:06, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
