April 2017[edit]

The statement about GN250 engines cutting out if the side stand is down is incorrect. NZVortex (talk) 15:17, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently the NZ models didn't have a side stand cutout switch, which is really odd. It has been a standard feature on bikes everywher for years, and the GN250 isn't that old. We wouldn't even mention such a thing on a Wikipedia article normally, any more than we point out the wheels are round. What's extraordinary is that such a low priced bike has a gear indicator, something you normally only see on far more expensive (or very recent) bikes. So we have a bike with a gear indicator already present, and a sidestand switch, which means they've already spent the money to have everything they need for a sidestand cutout. But then only for the bikes sent to New Zealand, they disable that? That's something unusual enough to merit explanation in the article, if we can find sources as to why. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 17:30, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
