Legend of Hunters Glen Apartments

"A legend of Hunters Glen Apartments for chasing kids when they called her Mary Poppins. She once delayed school bus field trip because the kids called her Mary Poppins."

This all sounds.... just weird to me. Where is Hunters Glen Apartments? Huters Glen Apartments are located on Rt.130 in Delran, NJ Is it really a "legend" that she chases kids who call her mary poppins? What would even lead someone to call her that? I honestly know nothing about this lady, but this part of the article seems less than authoritative. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Yipely (talkcontribs) 18:48, 10 March 2007 (UTC).

I don't know how this should fit in the article, but as someone who grew up in the South Jersey community here are the facts I can remember about this person.

If you grew up in South Jersey, you know who "Underdog Lady" is. The first time I saw her, I was 8 and she was standing on top of the Burlington County Times building during some holiday parade or festival. As kids we loved her; we had no idea she was mentally ill...it was just cool, like a clown or something.

In the end, perhaps it does not matter whether she is mentally ill or not; she has found a niche in society entertaining children. In some respects she is more successful than many of us or are not mentally ill.

As we grew up we learned that she was strange, and unfortunately, many in the community would make fun of her.

It surprises you that kids would make fun of her? Kids are famous for that kind of thing.TheDarkOneLives (talk) 09:23, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

A native of Maple Shade Township, New Jersey,

Nope, she's a native of Boston, MA who has lived in Delran, New Jersey since the mid-1970's. She still lives there and is listed in the phone book. I used to be her neighbor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Moinnj (talkcontribs) 19:43, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
