Article title[edit]

Sastravuth1786, are there sources that actually confirm this is the preferred spelling of the hospital's name? I've never heard anyone pronounce it in Thai as [สัน-พะ-สิด], only [สับ-พะ-สิด]. I notice that the hospital's website is at the URL sunpasit.go.th, but from experience I'd say choice of URL can hardly be considered reliable, as plenty of Thai organisations misspell their name in their URL. The spellings used by new sources appear to be all over the place. (For example, Sappasit Prasong,[1][2] Sapphasitthiprasong,[3][4] Sunpasitthi Prasong,[5] Sanpasit Prasong,[6] and even Sapsid Prasong.[7]) --Paul_012 (talk) 15:16, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Paul_012, it is indeed debatable on the actual pronunciation of the hospital's name, as I have heard some people pronounce it both as [สัน-พะ-สิด], as well as [สับ-พะ-สิด] from different sources. Nevertheless, I did not find a 'preferred spelling' prior to creating this article, and thus I went along with using the url of the hospital as a basis. Should any further other official spellings be used or announced (if at all), then the article would then have to be redirected to the correct name. Thank you for your concern. August 2020[edit]

The spelling dispute between 'Sapphasit' and 'Sunpasit' has been confirmed by reference to documents released by the hospital[1] (see footnote of each page), as well as a research paper[2] which its abstract refers to the hospital as 'Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital'. This article therefore consists of all the content on the initial article named 'Sunpasithiprasong Hospital' (one t), which has now been changed to a redirect page.
