...nor could it be verified since the Institute was unidentified.(a private venture maybe ?) However a similar claim printed in the French Payot edition of 1957 has long been left undisputed. It does not matter much, the study is distinctly ethnological.(84.193.161.41 14:16, 20 March 2006 (UTC))
Sufi Studies in the West?[edit]
This only deals with some aspects of Sufi studies i.e. in some areas in the West. Needs to be renamed or expanded with references to The Society for Sufi Studies, Institute for Cultural Research, ISHK etc.
New Research on Current Philosophical Systems, The Diffusion of Sufi Studies in the West by L. Lewin and Documents on Contemporary Dervish Communities by Roy Weaver Davidson and Rapahel Lefort's Teachers of Gurdjieff could be included as references.
