Is Subinfeudation the same thing as what is called Afterlehen in German? That's only a stub article, but it seems to describe the act of enfeoffing somebody with a holding that oneself has already received from a lord as a fief. If you deem it to be more or less the same, perhaps an interwiki link is in order. As it is, neither article seems detailed enough for me to be absolutely sure. Feudalism_in_the_Holy_Roman_Empire is pretty detailed and shows equivalencies between terminology in English and German. If the German article and the aforementioned English Wikipedia article are accurate, I'd be confident in saying they're the same thing. Count Truthstein (talk) 00:56, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
