I deleted a short sentence referring to the importance of sports and fitness in the curriculum. I'm an ex-pupil of the school. Sports were no more important than in any other school of this type, and there was no particular emphasis on fitness outside of sports. Torve 13:18, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I can confirm this. There was none of the rabid emphasis on sport found in some schools. If one of the teams did well, great and there was encouragement for sports such as cricket and rugby yes, but it was just a part of the overall experience and curriculum, not outstanding in any way. At least when I was a pupil in the 70's.
The title of this article is wrongly capitalized: it should be 'Stouts Hill' not 'Stouts hill'. But I don't know how to change the title, and in any case I suppose changing it would break existing links. Torve 22:29, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
