Fair use rationale for Image:Jacktorrancemini.gif[edit]

Image:Jacktorrancemini.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Reversion[edit]

Under the personal section of the article, I removed the edit that referred to Weber claiming he is... "often mistaken for fellow actor Christian Bale." No citations have been added to support this edit, and I was unable to find one on Google or any other search engine. If someone can provide the appropriate citations, by all means revert my edit and place them into the text. --Candy156sweet (talk) 17:21, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 19 February 2019[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Moved. The status of the dab page is best left for WP:AFD, given the disagreement here. (non-admin closure) IffyChat -- 09:13, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Steven Weber (actor)Steven Weber – A reason this would be a good move is because 99 percentage interest in this page. Steven Weber (professor) you would only know if you were very familiar with Berkeley, and even then he would not be much known, so this page is more familiar and you can remove his job. --Quiz shows 06:57, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom. Still gets 95% of page views when you throw in all other variations of the name. Looks sufficiently primary to me. PC78 (talk) 10:46, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom and delete the DAB page per WP:TWODABS. —  AjaxSmack  16:46, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per AjaxSmack. --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:00, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Xain36 (talk) 17:43, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as clear WP:PTOPIC and keep the DAB page. Otherwise, there'd need to be a very unwieldy hatnote because the other four entries on the page could well be what some readers are looking for. Don't make life difficult for them. Narky Blert (talk) 17:51, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and use the hatnote suggested at #Suggested hatnote instead of the dab page. I don't think it's unwieldy, and it saves on clicks for users. --В²C 20:53, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested hatnote[edit]

This hatnote would handle all the choices currently at the Steven Weber dab page.

  • I think you can combine with Stephen Webber (disambiguation) if you want. --Quiz shows 05:45, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
