Barnes' family[edit]

I think the information on Barnes' family is wrong. According to www.tananarivedue.com Due met Barnes in 1997 so they can't have had a daughter in 1986. And Due says in an interview that Barnes has a daughter Nicki from his first marriage and they have a son Jason. MK2 03:38, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I would find it very interesting to know some of the details of Steven Barnes' science fiction career as he seems an unlikely candidate to be paired with fellows such as Niven and Pournelle, judging from the content of this article alone.

Bibliography[edit]

His bibliography is absolutely correct, I own the books he did with Niven and Pournelle, in fact you can research this pretty simply on Amazon.com. Basique 02:18, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Steve has also written several screenplays, including at least one episode of Roddenberry's "Andromeda," "Baywatch" and "Stargate SG-1." http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1005417/filmogenre 209.43.9.219 20:35, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Michael Z. Williamson[reply]

Considering his bibliography, wouldn't it be appropriate to call him a writer rather than a "self-titled" writer? --SilverhandTalk 12:43, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article makes no sense[edit]

This article current goes into great detail about the family life and martial arts expertise of "Steven Barnes", but then has a detailed bibliography of a "Steven Barnes" who is clearly a prominent science fiction author, about which not one word is said in the text. It's as if these are two entirely different people. Is this the case, or have we just failed to described in the prose the most notable part of Barnes's life? ~ Jeff Q (talk) 23:57, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There does not seem to be much out there. This interview by Michael A. Ventrella has some detail, but I don't know the reliability of the source. —MJBurrage(TC) 20:12, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
His the degree of his contribution in collaborations with Niven and Pournelle is questionable. Interestingly, a diminutive black martial arts expert is a character in all the works he co-authored. Seems more like a friend who is allowed to contribute some martial arts knowledge in a limited way in their stories. 66.193.250.244 (talk) 17:17, 4 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Asssassin's Creed series[edit]

I've added the Assassin's Creed series to the bibliography, as the cover to the book was released a while ago and the author is Steven Barnes, but nobody has apparently added it.

Fair use rationale for Image:Stevenbarnes.jpg[edit]

Image:Stevenbarnes.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
